Cala d’Or, is a beautiful holiday resort situated on the south eastern coast of Majorca, in the Municipality of Santanyi, about 64 km. from the capital Palma de Mallorca and 60 km. from Palma de Mallorca Airport. Cala d’Or has a great location covering more than 4 km. of beautiful small coves and creeks. Cala d’Or welcomes thousands of tourist every year with its fine sandy beaches and crystal clear waters.

Fiesta of la Mare de Déu del Mar (Our Lady of the Sea), the local fiesta of Cala d’Or that is held around every 15th of August and Cala d’Or International Jazz Festival that is held during every July is also a great entertainment activity for the festival and music lovers.
As for beaches in Cala d’Or, the Cala d’Or beach is a beautiful sandy beach (40 x 100m.) but a small one. Crowded mostly. Many holidaymakers prefer taking bus and go to Es Trenc beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Majorca, about 36 km. from Cala d’or. Other beaches nearby Cala d’Or from south to north are the small beaches of Cala Gran beach (40 x 100 m.), Cala Esmeralda beach (25 x 25 m.), Cala Ferrera beach (100 x 60 m.) and Cala Serena beach (20 x 20 m.).
As for shopping in Cala d’Or, Cala Gran Hotel and beach area and Cala Egos has a some nice shops. There is a also a large supermarket along Cala d’Or.
As for nightlife in Cala d’Or, holidaymakers may find variety of nice bars in Cala d’Or town centre. Most of the night time entertainment takes place at the Cala d’Or hotels.

Drach Caves (Coves del Drach) are popular for their illumination and the Martel lake which is one of the largest underground lakes in the world. Music concerts on the lake and the possibility of crossing it by boat.
